AIDA  

is the Worldwide Federation for breath-hold diving. An assembly for freedivers; competiton, education, and community.

The AIDA non profit organization has defined several disciplines in freediving over the years. Founded in 1992 they authenticate world records achieved in competitive events such as NLT (No Limit Apnea), and CWT (Constant Weight Apnea). AIDA aims to set standards for safety, comparability of Official World Record attempts, and freedive education.
